Batten down the hatches

Just thought i could simply not record this, as i must say it is very exciting along with being quite serious.

Was sitting in the Seomra na Gaeilge with a nice cup of tea (trying to warm up after making numerous snow angels with mates). Suddenly the phone beeped and my mom had just txt me with the simple (yet pretty scary) message " come home as soon as you can". Didnt know what was going on. I rang her and apparently the AA roadwatch had issued a big warning asking anyone who can return home to do so as soon as possible, as there is going to be around 10 centimetres of snow falling on the east coast tonight, starting from about 5pm.

On the way home the talk on the radio was all "batten down the hatches people". Scary or what?!?!

So here I am, sitting in front of the nice fire, cat on the couch, mother with the knitting..... wow when did we turn into such a culchie irish family ha.

I am just really happy to hear something on the radio other than the words IMF and recession. If I hear another mention of 4 year austerity plan or the renaming of Anglo Irish Bank (like that is going to fix things) I will scream, literally ha. Tubridy has the right idea, concentrate on anything but the whole economic thing.

But enough about all that rubbish, its not the right talk for a snowy, white, quiet evening like this. Reminds me of that lovely Guinness christmas advert. Here is the link. Enjoy.
